Leicester City 3-0 Huddersfield Town: Player Ratings
By James Lassey
Midfielders
Wilfried N’didi 7/10
Unlucky not to be on the scoresheet following his header from a Demarai Gray corner hitting the bar, but overall looked composed in the middle of the park. More importantly he didn’t get a yellow card.
Matty James 7/10
In his first start since his injury against Chelsea back in September, the midfielder didn’t look ring rusty whatsoever. Assured on the ball and accompanied by N’didi, he dictated play well.
Riyad Mahrez 10/10
Where to start. He put the game on its head and single handedly won Leicester the points. Up until his first-time volley, the game looked to be heading towards a scoreless draw but his energy and prowess bought his fellow teammate’s performances up let alone his own.
Shinji Okazaki 7/10
Good work rate as always and was unfortunate not to be on the score-sheet following his goal being overruled due to a foul on the Huddersfield defender. Soft to say the least.
Marc Albrighton 8/10
Took a while to get into the game but when he did, the winger was effective. Linked up play nicely and provided the assist for Mahrez’s volley and took his goal well.
