Manchester United won’t follow up their Jamie Vardy enquiry with a bid for the Leicester City striker, as per multiple reports.

In a shocking turn of events, The Telegraph had earlier reported that Jamie Vardy is one of a number of options that Manchester United are looking to bolster their options up front. The Reds have gone so further as to enquire about the Enhlishman’s availability, but that’s probably it, and they are highly unlikely to make any further approach.

As per Rob Tanner of the Leicester Mercury, Leicester City are reluctant to sell their star striker for any price – perhaps unsurprisingly; however, shall there be a price for the 30-year old, it may well be an enormous sum, making the possibility of a deal look even bleaker.

The next week or so at the King Power Stadium could indeed be a really busy one, with loads of Leicester City players rumoured to be on their way out or reported targets for a number of clubs.

Riyad Mahrez tops the list of City’s wantaway players as the Algerian waits for someone to make an official approach. Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with him, but none of them has made any contact as yet.

Others departures include summer signing Kelechi Iheanacho, the striking duo of Islam Slimani and Ahmed Musa – two expensive mistakes – and Leonardo Ulloa, whose move looks imminent despite the contract extension.
