Leicester City to move for Besiktas defender?
Leicester City have been linked with a potential move for Besiktas and Turkey defender Dusko Tosic.
According to Turkish outlet Haberturk, Besiktas president Fikret Orman has travelled to England to discuss a deal for the 33-year old, with a number of clubs interested, namely Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Leicester City, Stoke City and Crystal Palace.
It had been earlier reported that Orman was at the King Power Stadium last week as well to hold talks over a deal for Islam Slimani, having sold Cenk Tosun to Everton, but Leicester are yet to comment on that as of now.
Shall Leicester City go on with their pursuit (of Tosic) – if there’s one at all – then it’d cost them just £3.5 million, which, to be frank, sounds like a waste of money for a centre-back of Tosic’s age, especially when you’re a Premier League club.
Leicester City already have an aged defence, something that Claude Puel would like to address come the summer, so it’s highly improbable that they’d take another player who barely has a season of top-flight football left in him – and that’s when we are being optimistic.
Leicester City have also been linked with Marseille’s 25-year old Bouna Sarr, who the Foxes are rumoured to have made a second bid worth €5 for. The right-back would be the ideal addition to the squad and provide some much needed competition for a position that has been Danny Simpson’s for some time.

Although Puel has found his new right-back in Daniel Amartey, it is unlikely that he’d like to continue to play the young Ghanaian out of position.
