Ahmed Musa heading for Leicester City exit
Ahmed Musa is heading for the exit door at Leicester City, as confirmed by the player’s agent.
The Nigerian international has made a solitary appearance this season, netting for the Foxes in a 4-1 win over Sheffield United in the Carabao Cup. Either side of that appearance, Musa hasn’t even come close to playing for Leicester City, having to spend most of his time with the second team for a reason that few of us know.
Signed from CSKA Moscow for €19.6 million by Claudio Ranieri, Musa has never quite been able to nail down a spot at Leicester, making just 14 starts in nearly two seasons, which just about serves as a damning indictment of what his time at the King Power Stadium has been like.
As the 25-year old now looks to rediscover his previous self, a move to his former side is on the cards. Ahmed Musa’s agent, Tony Harris, has confirmed that a move could soon materialise, with a loan deal looking like the most possible outcome. He said:
"“Negotiations with Leicester continue and go in a positive light,” Harris was quoted as saying by Leicester Mercury.“Most likely, Ahmed will go on loan to CSKA in this transfer window. The chances for this are very high.”"
Gernot Rohr, the Super Eagles gaffer, has also dropped a major hint, saying that he believes Ahmed Musa could soon change team as he looks to boost his FIFA World Cup 2018 hopes. Speaking to NAN, he said:
"“We are in the transfer window now and I believe he will change team; Musa is going back to Russia and it is very good news that he will be playing there.“Musa playing in Russia is a positive development so that we will have the sympathy of Russian fans.“Also, Musa knows the people there because he is familiar with them, he knows the weather condition too.’’"

With just under a week to go before the transfer window shuts down, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to see Ahmed Musa leave Leicester City. Claude Puel has been consistent in maintaining that he wants to offload a striker or two, so this is a transfer that should go through in all probability.
