Clean sheet kings to shut out another opponent?

The memories of Leicester City giving lesson after lesson after lesson on how “not” to defend are quite distant now, and there aren’t many people out there who would remember Harry Maguire throwing the ball away in an attempt to dribble the ball out of his own half, or even the now world-class Wilfred Ndidi being a master of truly horrendous passes.

The Foxes being as improved a unit as they are at the back, there’s a growing sense that they can manage to do it over and over again even against the best of the best, and in this case – with all due respect – it’s only Peterborough United, so they may just keep another clean sheet, matching a century-old record in the process.

Having kept five consecutive clean sheets, Leicester City could match their club-record run of six shut-outs, which was achieved all the way back in 1920 (February-March). Leicester’s current run includes:

Leicester City 3-0 Huddersfield Town

Fleetwood Town 0-0 Leicester City

Chelsea 0-0 Leicester City

Leicester City 2-0 Fleetwood Town

Leicester City 2-0 Watford
