Fousseni Diabate could be an instant hit

Just minutes into his Leicester City debut, it was a calm and composed Fousseni Diabate finish that handed the visitors the lead. The Mali international beautifully combined with Adrien Silva before slotting it past the keeper without the tiniest bit of nerve to mark his arrival. Deep into the second half, he added a second to make it a memorable debut.

It might be too soon to make a call, but the 22-year old seems a good signing already, one that we may call a bargain as he develops. He has got skill on the ball, he has got the pace and as he showed today, the finishing ability to go with it, too. What is demanded now is consistency, which defines a player’s career more than anything else.
