An own goal from Jack Butland earned Leicester City a point as the Foxes failed to win a fourth successive Premier League game. Here’s what we learned from the 1-1 tie at the King Power Stadium:

Leicester City keep dropping points against easier opponents

What’s up with Leicester City making life tough for themselves against teams that everyone expects them to easily overcome? Stoke City may be a decent team on paper with players like Jack Butland, Xherdan Shaqiri and Joe Allen, but they are placed 19th in the Premier League table, and a team that’s in contention for a UEFA Europa League spot should be able to beat them.

Leicester City suffered against Everton, they found it hard against Swansea City, and they’ve done it again against Stoke, who did well enough to win the game themselves – both up front and the back.

Next up for the Foxes are AFC Bournemouth, who are only five points below them and could close that gap down to just two points. We know who the favourites are, but they’ve got to show it on the pitch next week.
