Leicester City are lining up a £20 million move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, as they look to add to their midfield next season.

According to an exclusive report from Mirror Sport, the Foxes would, however, only try to bring him in if the Villans fail in their promotion bid.

Currently placed fourth in the Sky Bet Championship with 79 points, Steve Bruce’s side are all set to head to Wembley for the play-offs.

While promotion to the Premier League will reportedly mean an increase in Jack Grealish’s £20,000-a-week wages, another year in the second tier would have larger ramifications on the financial front in particular, and the Englishman could be sold as a result.

Of course, it is of little doubt that Leicester City would love to have the England U-23s international in their side. Jack Grealish has lit up the Championship since his return from a horrific kidney injury, scoring three goals and assisting five in 24 appearances in his attacking midfield role.

Many a few Foxes faithful will probably accept him as Riyad Mahrez’s replacement, too, who looks certain to leave the King Power Stadium this summer. After all, he has done a lot of good things since his failed move to champions Manchester City.
