Leicester City have reportedly made contact with Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s representatives, according to the Mirror.

The Belgium international’s current deal expires at the end of the season, meaning that he’d be available for a free transfer, shall he and the club choose to move on.

The 30-year old has already attracted interest from Paris-Saint Germain, AS Monaco, Besiktas, Juventus and West Ham United, who are managed by David Moyes.

Moyes was Fellaini’s boss at Everton and brought him to the Old Trafford, too. He has since divided opinion like no other player has, often being the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons.

The former Standard Liege player was expected to be sold by Jose Mourinho in his first season in charge at Manchester United, but instead, he was a regular feature in the side, making 47 appearances, as the Reds won the UEFA Europa League and the league cup.

However, Fellaini has seen himself fall down the pecking order this season, mainly because of Nemanja Matic’s arrival from Chelsea. After making just 21 appearances this campaign (just six starts), it is clear that Jose no longer wants him in the team.

With the English giants now hoping to catch up with Manchester City and put up a proper title challenge, a lot of players are going to be shipped out, and Marouane Fellaini will definitely be on top of their list.

Leicester City, though, will have to do quite a bit to convince him to come to the East Midlands.
