Harry Maguire has said that Leicester City must try and work hard on the pitch, as it’s down to them to change their form and luck.

The Foxes have seen a dramatic change in fortunes after they were initially flying high under Claude Puel, and at one stage looking like they could make it into the UEFA Europa League.

However, just when they were within touching distance of Burnley, everything fell apart, starting with the defeat to Newcastle United.

Since then, Leicester City have lost two more and drawn another, with their home form being nothing less than a disaster. Puel’s side have gone five Premier League games without a win at the King Power Stadium, their last one being a 2-0 victory over Watford late in January.

The home run being an obvious cause for concern, Leicester City’s player of the year Harry Maguire isn’t afraid of accepting that they haven’t been particularly good in their own backyard. He does, however, feel that his side have deserved to win all of those games that they have drawn.

"“I think at home although we haven’t been brilliant, if any side deserved to have won those games that we have drawn it was us.“If you look at the Swansea game, we played well in that game and missed numerous chances to go two, three or four up, but they hit us back.“The Bournemouth game again in the second half as well was really good. We should really win the game with the amount of chances we created.“We were really disappointed with the Newcastle game, that was down to ourselves, but we have to try and work hard now on the training pitch.“It is only ourselves that can change the form around, and change our luck.”"

It’s easy to say that Leicester City haven’t got anything to left to play for, but in truth, there’s a lot that can still be achieved.

The Foxes might be four points behind Everton, but they do have a game in hand, and if they can get the desired results in their final three fixtures, then they’d be able to finish eighth – their joint second highest finish in the Premier League era. Certainly worth a go?
