Leicester City fell to yet another defeat as  they continued their miserable run at home. Here’s what we learned from their 2-0 defeat to West Ham United:

The players aren’t responding to Claude Puel

A team that seemed to be functioning so well at the start of Claude Puel’s Leicester City tenure has turned into an absolute disaster, and it’s barely believable to see the transition happen in the space of days.

At one point of time, Leicester were undoubtedly the best of the rest, and that wasn’t just because of their league position but the way they were playing. Surely, if Puel’s system worked well at the start, it can’t be that it doesn’t suit the players all of a sudden?

Just as the drastic change in form and fortunes wasn’t all Claudio Ranieri’s fault in 2016/17, the current mess isn’t Claude Puel’s fault either. There’s more going on than is apparent.
