Jamie Vardy is the ultimate big game player

Even if Leicester City tried, they may fail to get someone who thrives against a big opposition as much as Jamie Vardy does. Following his brace against Tottenham Hotspur today, he took his tally against the big six to ten this season – that’s exactly half of his 20 league goals in 2018/19.

It just goes on to show that is a top-class striker, something that people often refuse to believe because he doesn’t play for a big club. The England international is as good as any top striker in the country, and it’s time people acknowledged that.

Gareth Southgate must really start licking the life out of his lips as the World Cup draws closer.
