Leicester City trio Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa have all been named in Nigeria’s 25-man provisional squad for the FIFA World Cup.

Earlier, it was feared that Ndidi might not be able to make it to Russia, but he has recently returned to training with the Super Eagles and is now expected to be fit in time to board the flight.

With only five days remaining until FIFA’s deadline for the final 23-man list, there will be a couple more players who will miss out, though none of Leicester City’s players would be among them.

Iheanacho, Musa and Ndidi are all extremely important to their national side, and unless, of course, they are not fully fit, there’s no chance they’d be out of the squad.
