Leicester City pondering a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish
Leicester City are considering a move for Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, according to Sky Sports’ Rob Dorsett.
Riyad Mahrez’ £60 million transfer to Manchester City now almost complete, the Foxes would want to invest that money in the best way possible, and one of those ways would be to spend on the young Englishman.
Grealish played a big part in Aston Villa’s journey to the Wembley Stadium. Although they unfortunately failed to beat Fulham in the play-off final, the 22-year old can look back at the season as his best.
The young Englishman netted three goals and assisted eight in 34 appearances across all competitions, often proving to be the main attacking threat of Steve Bruce’s side.
We’ll now have to wait and see how things progress in the coming week or so. Jack Grealish is going to leave Aston Villa – that’s for sure – but would he want to come to Leicester City is what is the main question.
Manchester United have also been reported as a possible destination, and if that’s true, then it would prove to be very tough for Claud Puel to stand any chance of landing his target.
Also, the money may prove to be a problem. After it emerged that City would make a £20 million bid, Bruce made it clear in very certain terms that the amount would not even buy Jack Grealish’s right leg.

A financially ill Villa may not much of a choice if Grealish tries to force a move, but even so, £20 million hardly seems like the price.
