Leicester City submit bid for Montpellier’s Jerome Loussillon
Leicester City have reportedly submitted a bid for Montpellier left-back Jerome Roussillon, according to Paris United.
However, Everton are understood to have tabled an offer as well, though the exact amount is unknown at the moment.
AS Monaco, Sevilla and Fenerbahce are also among the clubs interested in the 25-year old, and their UEFA Champions League qualification might well hand them advantage, seeing as the Frenchman wants European football.
Roussillon made 25 appearances in competitions for the Ligue 1 side last season, scoring three goals and recording as many assists playing primarily as a left-back. The former Sochaux-Montbeliard player can also operate as a left-midfielder.
Leicester City currently have two options at left-back in Ben Chilwell and Christian Fuchs. With the latter set to leave the club at the end of next season, Puel might want to have another young replacement ready, though whoever comes won’t likely be guaranteed a starting role.
The Foxes’ boss has shown a lot of faith in Chilwell since his arrival, and more chances have done a world of good to the Englishman. He made 32 appearances in 2017/18, a number that is likely to go further up in the upcoming season.
Leicester City are also eyeing another centre-back, and it’s Lokomotiv Moscow’s Solomon Kvirkvelia who they want to bring to the King Power Stadium.

The 26-year old has already confirmed that the negotiations are in place, so if the deal goes through, then we may not see a pursuit for Bayer Leverkusen’s Aleksandar Dragovic, who had been signed loan last season.
