Leicester City have reportedly made a £12.4 million offer for Besiktas and Croatia defender Domagoj Vida, as per Turkish outlet Aksam.

Everton, to the surprise of no one, have also bid around £11 million, but Besiktas want £13.5 million for the 29-year old.

However, the Super Lig outfit are in no hurry whatsoever to sell the centre-back. It is believed that the Kara Kartallar will wait until after the FIFA World Cup to determine his valuation, which they think could rise if Croatia go even further.

Domagoj Vida, who still has four years remaining on his contract, was signed in January from Dynamo Kyiv on a free transfer. He made 18 appearances for Besiktas in 2017/18, making just as many for the Ukrainian club as well (160 overall).

Vida has been an integral part of Zlatko Dalic’s Croatia at the World Cup, helping his team beat Nigeria and Argentina before being rested for the dead rubber against Iceland. He should be back in side for the round of 16 tie against Denmark.

Elsewhere, Leicester City are also understood to have submitted a bid for Montpellier’s Jerome Roullison – another Everton target – according to Paris United.

AS Monaco, Sevilla and Fenerbahce are among the others clubs interested in the 25-year old, and their UEFA Champions League qualification might well hand them advantage, seeing as the Frenchman wants European football.
