Harry Maguire back to his best

If you’re not a Harry Maguire fanboy, then you just know that he had an underwhelming start to the season. He was as complicit in the sorry showings as any other player; however, his lack of form was, to a massive extent, down to fatigue. The 25-year old has played a lot of football for both Leicester and England, and what we’ve seen from him this campaign has all been a result of just that.

There had been the odd call for him to be rested, but it looks like Puel won’t have to do that – not after a trademark display against Newcastle United anyway. The Slab-Head was effusing confidence at the St. James’ Park, as the numbers demonstrate better:

Total passes: 66

Passes completed: 55

Successful long balls: 7

Clearances: 1

Interceptions: 2

Tackles: 1

Aerials won: 6

Goals: 1

Don’t talk about benching him ever again.
