Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil is back in action, and back in time to face Leicester City next week at the Emirates Stadium.

The German had missed two consecutive games against Qarabag FK and Fulham because of a back spasm; however, he showed no more signs of an injury as the Gunners trained on Tuesday.

The 29-year old has encouraged plenty of floccipaucinihilipilification with displays deemed by some as average at best, though he has scored three goals in eight appearances this season. That’s still good for a no.10, isn’t it?

Ozil, however, isn’t going to be the only Arsenal player who Leicester would have to do well to contain. The North Londoners’ attacking trio of Alexandre Lacazette (five goals), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (six goals) and Danny Welbeck (four goals) is quite something, as is a midfield that boasts Aaron Ramsey, Alex Iwobi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira. Puel’s side would quite clearly have a lot of work to do.

After the defeat to Everton, Leicester are now in danger of losing another. Arsenal come into the fixture against the Foxes on the back of nine straight wins, and they are going to be very tough to beat – especially at home.

Although Arsenal’s own leaky defence should give Leicester a reason to be more optimistic, it’s something that can only be taken advantage of when the latter are absolutely packed at the back themselves.

Next. Unless Claude Puel switches to a defensive-three, Leicester City need to buy another right-back in January. dark

If they let the home side play, there’s no way they are coming back with anything other than gaunt faces.
