Three positions in which Leicester City are superior to Arsenal
There are at least three positions in the Leicester City side, with superior players to their next Premier League opponents Arsenal’s equivalents:
Overall, it is apparent that Arsenal have a superior squad in comparison to Leicester City. However, in a few positions, the Foxes have more distinguished, or in-form players, currently.
With Monday’s clash of the East Midlands and North London clubs looming, which three places in the starting line-up of Claude Puel’s team outshine the Gunners at the moment:
Goalkeeper
Kasper Schmeichel:
Schmeichel is a champion and club legend. Although, he is not adverse to some mediocre performances and slight errors. For example: the flap and premature leap at a cross he should catch for Everton’s opener, in the last Premier League match.
Although, Petr Cech is still a marvellous goalkeeper/shot-stopper; his unmodernised, retro playing style – not to mention, mistakes – costs Arsenal goals.
In recent times he decreased the amount of mishaps: conceding only one goal in three matches. In the meantime, his outfielders scored freely; the side pocketing maximum points.
While, Schmeichel generally does the right thing or makes the correct choice. He is a competent saver too; and rarely makes errors. One department this writer questions of the Dane, is distribution: not enough by hand and more accuracy is necessary. Though, he had an impressive World Cup with Denmark; meaning he is preferable over the Czech stopper.
Left-back
Ben Chilwell
Natural progression calls upon journalists of the footballing world to talk about England senior International Chilwell amongst the creme of European, or global, left-backs.
That means Nacho Monreal et al are no longer considered automatically better. Nor are those elders more desirable defenders than the previously Young Lion, anymore.
Regardless of stature, national team history and an illustrious career: nobody is untouchable and can surely be overtaken.
Having said this, Monreal is the more composed and dangerous goal-getter/facilitator at present; but the 21-year-old set-piece expert is showing contemporaneous displays at a higher standard ranking.
Playmaker/No.10
James Maddison
Before you think I’m crazy; on paper, and at present, Mesut Ozil is a higher quality player when compared to Maddison of Leicester City. Whereas, both men are often played away from their favourite position of playmaker or No.10 – Ozil is causing the a lesser amount of Premier League defences problems on a weekly basis.
The German has done everything in football, but if he is stuck, wasted out on the left of midfield – like the former Norwich man, occasionally – and Maddison is central, the Englishman is creating more this season.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette are also rated at a higher standard – or pricier commodity – than Leicester City’s £24m Championship record signing. They are mentioned because they can be played incorrectly on the wing, in order to fit them in; when better utilised as a strike duo.
If it is Maddison being assessed against Iwobi – on the left or central-attacking-midfield – the Nigerian loses that battle; the England squad member is a more effective forward. Ozil’s form is not as outstanding as his Leicester opponent’s.

Alterations are necessary for the trip to North London, according to @FoxesofLCFC.
Will the Leicester City faithful see a communication/rustiness-delayed debut from Caglar Soyuncu? It is about time the Blue Army and club staff assessed him on the most imposing domestic stage. Lcfc.com has more information on that question, and the presser, in detail.
Leicester City can win this game; everyone witnesses the Gunners crash and capitulate at the slightest threat of intimidation and fast-breaking football. In spite of that, they are on an imposing run. There is nothing to lose for the Foxes.
