It is a dream realised for any professional athlete to represent their country. For Leicester City’s James Maddison the wait is not over for a deserved senior debut; yet, he recounts his time meeting up with the England squad:

James Maddison has lit up the Premier League with Leicester City during his short career at the King Power Stadium. Scoring an impressive three, along with two assists – earning himself an England call-up in the process. In this article, Foxes of Leicester outline his first senior international experiences with Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Leicester City publishing, LCFC Live, quote the 21-year-old as fulfilling his dreams already. Although, truly speaking he will be more determined than ever to go that one step further, playing for the Three Lions:

"“It was a fantastic moment to honest, just to get that recognition of the good performances I’ve put in. There’s no greater honour than being called up to the England squad.“That’s the pinnacle, that’s the dream, that’s the ambition to play as a regular for the national team.” He added: “It was a proud moment for me and my family, obviously I didn’t get on the pitch, but the experience was a valuable one.”– James Maddison (Via: LCFC Live)"

In regards to his friend and former Young Lions teammate, as well as club mate, the playmaker says: “Chilly [Ben Chilwell] was fantastic in the game against Spain, up and down that left, just like I know he can. He took to the international team like a duck to water. He deserves all the plaudits he’s getting at the minute.”

In other news, this response to his depicted weak strength on FIFA 19 is hilarious from the No.10:

"“I’m not claiming I’m the Hulk or anything but 39 is a bit harsh, isn’t it?!”– James Maddison (Via: Sky Sports)"

Perhaps it is due to him being a player who consistently draws the attention of the opposition and the referee for fouls. However, it cannot be assessed that the former Norwich City man hits the floor too easily, playacting or employing histrionics particularly.

Leicester City lost to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium Monday evening. Puel’s outfit were underdogs and couldn’t end the Gunners‘ 10 match winning streak. Sadly. Although, positives emerged; for example, the new 3-4-1-2 formation. Despite this, there are negatives; like the performances of Daniel Amartey, Papy Mendy and Jamie Vardy.
