The footballing world reacts to Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s passing

A moving outpouring of grief and condolences emerged from the footballing community, after the tragic events surrounding Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s passing.

Emotions are understandably extremely sad in at Leicester City’s ground, King Power Stadium, where fitting tributes of flowers, club shirts and scarves, portraits and written notes elegantly flood the pavement.

They are laid in remembrance for the beloved chairman whom died in a helicopter crash on Saturday at the ground; four others also tragically perished.

Above is a tweet from BBC Sport showing the heartbreaking images of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha’s son, and Leicester City vice-chairman Aiyawatt – or ‘Top’ – along with his wife, laying flowers for his father. A collective tear shed by the Blue Army. This is the worst moment of the club’s history. A great man gone; the greatest man.
