Leicester City sunk to a new low with their second consecutive defeat against Crystal Palace. Here are the talking points from another appalling display:

Watching Leicester City play is not fun anymore – is Claude Puel’s time up?

Claude Puel’s saving grace for a good part of his tenure – and this season in particular – has been the quality of Leicester City’s football. They haven’t always got the desired results, but the performances have been encouraging and entertaining. The defeats to Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are an example of exactly that.

Now, however, there isn’t a valid point with which to defend Puel. His philosophy has turned into a poison for Leicester after the initial promise, and there’s absolutely no one left who either has any patience or love left for the Frenchman.

The fans can’t be blamed here at all. Since the start of October, Leicester have scored just eight goals in their last 11 games and only four in their last six games. If you’re only getting to celebrate a goal a mere four times in nearly three months, then you’ve got all the rights to behave like a deranged chicken the moment you spot your manager.

It could be argued that the squad still doesn’t look how Puel wants it to. Maybe he could make Leicester better with another summer of heavy spending, but it is increasingly looking like the end for the 57-year old.
