Leicester City take on Everton at Goodison Park on Tuesday in the Premier League. Here is how Foxes of Leicester expect Claude Puel’s starting XI to line-up for the first match of 2019:

The most Leicester City thing ever: beating Chelsea and Manchester City at a time of seeming crisis for the manager Claude Puel, followed by a home defeat to struggling Cardiff City. We don’t do it the easy way at the King Power Stadium.

Next up is a trip to the also inconsistent – and searching for seventh place, just as the Foxes – Everton. Since the Bluebirds loss was such a momentum demolisher, we can speculate the rotation policy to be ditched; in addition to the busy holiday period coming to a halt.

Predicted Leicester City XI for Merseyside

Puel is likely to return to the recently proven 4-3-3 formation and starting XI, which contributed vastly to surprisingly beating Chelsea and Manchester City.

Team

Kasper Schmeichel; Ben Chilwell, Harry Maguire, Wes Morgan, Ricardo Pereira; Papy Mendy, Wilfred Ndidi, Hamza Choudhury; James Maddison, Marc Albrighton; Jamie Vardy.

More from Foxes of Leicester

Morgan shall be reinstated as captain if he has fully recovered from illness. Choudhury is the other replacement for the Foxes. Therefore we expect Caglar Soyuncu along with Demarai Gray to lose their respective places in the beginning side.

Morgan received much criticism this campaign. And rightly so, after two red cards in three Premier League outings and performing at a mediocre standard. Though, in recent times the skipper improved his displays incredibly, leading his Leicester teammates to stunning back-to-back victories.

Choudhury was a revelation in the Manchester City Carabao Cup quarter-final. Firstly, that match actually put him on the national footballing radar; rather than the Blues and Sky Blues triumphs. In which he was also instrumental in a combative midfield capacity; as well as showing variety in a special role on the right to deal with the Citizens’ attacking left-back.

It’s the early match for Leicester this game-week, the Toffees welcome the East Midlands club for a 12:30pm kick-off. Puel will be hoping Maguire’s enthusiasm: “It is nice to have another game in three days and it is a big game for us now at Everton”, brings three points; per Leicester Mercury.
