Huddersfield Town make approach for Leicester City forward
Huddersfield Town have made an approach for Leicester City forward Shinji Okazaki – that is if we are to believe Sky Sources.
Huddersfield aren’t the only club to have done so, though, with there being more teams from the Premier League who are interested in the 32-year old.
It doesn’t come across as much of a surprise that even now, there are multiple clubs wanting to sign Okazaki.
He has only started three games this season in all competitions, the obvious reason behind that obviously being the age factor and the physical limitations that come with it. Despite that, however, he does guarantee unmatched levels of effort for all of the 90 minutes, and that alone might be a reason why teams are after him.
He is one of those players who won’t score or assist much, but he does hold a tactical value that is second to absolutely no one.
Once you’ve passed your instructions on to him, you’d know that he’d immediately make himself felt in the park – may that be through his defensive duties or the offensive ones. For a team like Huddersfield – who now need every player to play out of his skin – Okazaki can be a real blessing.
Puel isn’t going to use him much anyway, so if Leicester can get even £5 million for the former Mainz forward, then that would be more than enough. It would be an excellent deal as it allows the Foxes to ship some deadwood out and also make money in the process.
