Leicester City are eyeing Leonardo Jardim as Claude Puel’s replacement, according to Telefoot.

It isn’t going to be a passeggiata for Leicester to get the 44-year old, though. Jardim is reported to be on AC Milan’s radar as well, with Genaro Gattuso’s passion not working the kind of wonders many expected.

If the Italian legend is swept out of the San Siro anytime soon and if they are indeed after Jardim, you’d think that is Leicester’s chance to get him done. After all, who would not want to work for one of the biggest and most successful clubs in Europe?

And Milan aren’t the only European super club interested in the Portuguese manager. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United have been heavily linked with him and remain realistic destinations.

More from Foxes of Leicester

They all want his services for a reason: he is a world class manager who can win you trophies – as he did with AS Monaco by beating current Arsenal boss Unai Emery’s Paris Saint Germain to the Ligue 1 title.

Tactically, he is right up there with anyone else in the world, a reminder of which has been regularly served to the Premier league’s big boys in Europe – they knocked Arsenal out of the UEFA Champions League in 2014/15 and Manchester City in 2016/17.

The thought of Leonardo Jardim gesticulating on the touchline at the King Power Stadium is surely delighting but it is a bit far-fetched at the same time. If he does, however, come to Leicester, it would be a huge step towards where the fans want their club to be.
