Leicester City are in desperate need of breathing new life into their season.

Since a very well managed and earned win against Everton at Goodison Park on New Year’s Day, it has all gone downhill for the Foxes, bringing Claude Puel back into the red zone where he stood before he casually derailed Chelsea and Manchester City’s respective Premier League campaigns.

There only are two possibilities from hereon in: Leicester go on a run and roar back into contention for a UEFA Europa League spot, or they continue to be their own enemies, which will end with Puel bidding farewell to another English club.

What happens against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow will go a long way in determining what the actual outcome will be vis-à-vis Leicester’s season and Puel’s future.

Speaking of which, Leicester have got as good a chance as they’ll ever have of beating Spurs because of the number of casualties that the homeless North Londoners are currently dealing with.

They have as many as four key players missing –  Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier and Ben Davies – all of whom have played a pivotal role in Spurs’ campaign so far.

Mauricio Pochettino will still have the genius of Son Heung-Min (watch out for this man) and Cristian Eriksen to fall back on, but even he will admit that his opponents have a significantly lesser threat to deal with than before – and a better-than-before chance to win it.

"“Tottenham have a fantastic squad with a lot of options,” said Claude Puel.“I don’t know if we can arrive at this level but of course we want to continue to develop our players like other big teams.”"
