Claude Puel was dismissed as Leicester City manager on Sunday, following a run of one point in six Premier League matches. A former Manchester United boss has thrown his hat into the ring as a prospective Foxes candidate.

David Moyes didn’t make the grade as Manchester United manager, even though it’s a standout CV aspect. Simply, the fact that the Red Devils wanted a particular person at anytime proves they have pedigree. Will Leicester City be attracted?

Although you can bet your bottom dollar, or Euro or Pound, that the vocal section of the Blue Army will be dead against Moyes’ arrival at the King Power Stadium. However, they’d be wise to remember what an outstanding effort he managed at similar size club Everton.

Moyes’ work with the Toffees is exactly what caught Sir Alex Ferguson, and the United executives’ attention. In fact, the one time Sunderland gaffer gave Everton a foundation which matched their previous good standing. Now, he says Leicester City as a new placement would interest him.

Here is the transcript from TalkSPORT‘s interview with the 55-year-old, when asked about the vacancy at the East Midlands club:

"“I’m mad keen to get back in (to management).“After West Ham last year it really whet my appetite because we felt we did a really good job with what was available to us and I really enjoyed it.“If the right opportunity comes along to us then I’m ready to go.”– David Moyes"

In addition, the Scotsman also said he thought Puel was ‘unlucky’ to be sacked. Foxes of Leicester disagrees with that assessment. Results of recent were unacceptable, despite good performances on occasion – it was business, not personal.
