James Maddison has left no stone unturned in turning all the important heads in his first season with Leicester City.

In fact, it’s not just his first season with Leicester but his first season in the top division, which makes his success all the more jaw-dropping.

While those who watch him play week in and week out would know just how good very he is, others rely mostly on stats and, of course, Twitter for forming their opinion.

For them, Opta have dropped a stat that is going to put all of the doubts – if any – to bed. Maddison has created more chances – 81 – than anyone else in Europe’s top five leagues this season. Yes, anyone else includes Lionel Messi et al.

It’s hard to believe that Maddison had no experience of playing in the first division before his current campaign.
