Leicester City want to sign Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer, according to Serbian outlet Zurnal.

The Lillywhites have been already relegated from the Premier League and the Craven Cottage is all set to see some major departures. Mitrovic is obviously on top of that list.

The Serbia international has been one of the few bright sparks in what has otherwise been a dismal season for Fulham. He has netted ten times so far this season and that has not gone unnoticed.

Since “that” loan spell with Fulham in the Sky Bet Championship, he has been on a number of clubs’ radar and even more so now that he has proved himself in the top division yet again with a team that has gone down.

It has been reported that Leicester are not the only team interested in him.

Southampton, Everton (they want every Leicester target) and Tottenham Hotspur (who have forgotten that the cheese room can’t be used as a currency) are also looking to sign the former Newcastle United player, so this could emerge as one of the transfer battles of the summer.

However, anyone who wants to sign him must pay over £50 million, as that is what the Cottagers have set as the minimum price for their star striker.

To some extent, the price is justified because of how much Mitrovic brings to the side. He has that edge to his game which only top players have. Leicester would not find a better Jamie Vardy replacement than him.
