Manchester United fans have voted Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi as the player who they want to see the club sign this summer.

United are a bit of a shambles both on and off the pitch, and the last season has set off all kinds of alarms.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer expects an exodus this summer and he has also been given the financial backing by Ed Woodward to bring in better players to begin a revamp.

So here we are. The United faithful are already fantasising over who to sign and whom not, and among the former is Leicester’s beloved Ndidi.

In a Twitter poll conducted by Manchester Evening News about who the fans want to see at Old Trafford next season, the Nigerian received 35% of a total of 6,315 votes. That’s 2,210 votes.

Behind him is another Leicester player – or so we would like to say – Youri Tielemans. The Belgian, who is now back at AS Monaco after his loan spell with the Foxes, got 26% of the votes (1,642 votes).

Closely following the Leicester duo are West Ham United’s Declan Rice and Paris Saint-Germain’s Adrien Rabiot with 21% and 18% of the votes respectively.

No one would be surprised to see the results of that poll, really. Ndidi is one of the very best in the business as far as defensive midfielders are concerned, and given their importance today, all top clubs would want the 22-year old, no matter what the price.

dark. Next. Ricardo Pereira is a Leicester City fan favourite and thankful for it

Is any price enough for Ndidi, though? There’s only one answer: no.
