Strikers

Lastly, Striker. Callum Wilson was rumored to be one of Leicester’s top targets but he isn’t the right man. Wilson offers similar bonuses to Vardy. He’s only aged 27 but there are so many similarities that signing another version of Vardy doesn’t make sense, given he’s still got a few seasons left in him.

You would argue that Leicester could do with a target man after a peculiar window where they let Leonardo Ulloa and Islam Slimani leave the club permanently and on loan respectively. Rodgers is known for liking target men, mostly as a backup option, but that’s the exact situation currently residing with Leicester and for that, Tammy Abraham would be perfect.

After a magnificent campaign with Aston Villa, Abraham has silenced critics and really shown his qualities. A dynamic target man, able to play in-behind defenders and he offers a different style overall.

The issue surrounding Abraham, though, is managing to tempt him. Aston Villa, now a Premier League club, could attempt to secure him on a permanent basis, considering how well he suits the club already. It would make a lot of sense.

There’s also the beast of Chelsea. With Chelsea’s transfer ban, all of their youth assets have an increased value and Abraham is one of their best. Higuain’s uninspiring season, combined with Alvaro Morata potentially joining Atletico Madrid, could see Abraham climb the rankings at Stamford Bridge to be a starting forward.

The lure of European football and the progression inside the club you’ve spent your entire career at since the age of seven, would all make it difficult for Leicester to successfully secure him.

Next. Arsenal have enquired about James Maddison. dark

Leicester themselves have a talented team that has all the potential to help them become a European club for the foreseeable future. Maybe Abraham buys into that.
