In what is the most speculative time of the year for football fans across the globe, you would expect a whole banquet of transfer news to ensure smooth passage every day. Here’s what is doing the rounds in the Premier League world today:

Manchester United turn to Norwich City’s Max Aarons?

United’s interest in Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka is no secret. The Red Devils badly want the 21-year old but Palace won’t sell him for anything less than £65 million.

If Palace do continue to be stubborn, then United could turn their attention to Max Aarons – who could replace Bissaka at Selhurst Park if he leaves – reports Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol.

DONE DEAL: Daniel James completes move to United

Swansea City’s highly-rated Daniel James has completed his move to United, signing a five-year contract with the club.

"“This is one of the best days of my life and a challenge I am really looking forward to,” James said.“The Premier League is the best league in the world and Manchester United is the perfect place for me to continue to develop as a player.“This is an incredibly proud moment for me and my family, however, it is tinged with sadness that my father isn’t able to share this experience with us.“I am looking forward to working with Ole, meeting the team and getting started.”"

Paul Pogba won’t come cheap

More United news. Real Madrid reportedly want Paul Pogba this summer but the Mirror claim that they won’t land him for anything less than £150 million.

The thirteen-time European champions might be well clear of any another club in the race to sign the Frenchman but that price is something they’ll have to think twice about before paying.

Homecoming for Frank Lampard?

Surely not? Lampard returning to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea is as good as it gets, really. According to Sky Sports, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is set to leave for Juventus, with the two sides currently locked in negotiations over the compensation.

If the Italian giants are successful in their pursuit – which they will be – then it is Frank Lampard who Chelsea will set their sights on.

Dejan Lovren to AC Milan?

It has been quite the fall for Milan. The Rossoneri are interested in Dejan Lovren for some reason, according to the very reliable Gianluca Di Marzio. Maybe it is Ivan Gazidis working his magic in Italy.

The Croatian is clearly not willing to warm the bench at Anfield anymore and wants more playing time, something that Milan are willing to make possible.

Arsenal contact Lorenzo Pellegrini’s agent

Arsenal could do with some quality in their team and have therefore contacted AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini’s agent, according to The Sun.

The 22-year old has a £27 million buy-out clause in his current contract, so that shouldn’t be of much of a problem in an ideal world.

But this isn’t an ideal world. The Gunners don’t have money and can only afford to pay in instalments.
