Harry Maguire happy at Leicester City and will not force a move away
Harry Maguire is happy at Leicester City despite the interest from Manchester City and Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.
While both the clubs are ready to pay £65 million and wages as high £250,000-a-week, the 26-year old is satisfied where he is and will not try to force a move away.
Which is to say, only if Leicester get their asking price – reported to be a world-record £80 million – will Maguire leave. Otherwise, he stays. Yes, that also means he won’t do a Riyad Mahrez.
It is good that the England international is content staying at the King Power Stadium, but really, the Leicester faithful are all exhausted of having to hear contradictory reports every single day.
The sooner this saga is over – whatever the result – the better it is. And it can be said in the case of players like Ben Chilwell, James Maddison and Wilfred Ndidi as well.
When you’re trying to build something, reading rumours about the team’s most important players does not help at all. This is why the transfer window can both be an exciting and frustrating time.
For Leicester, it has mostly been frustrating over the last two seasons.
There could be excitement soon, however, as the Foxes are nearing their first signing of the summer. They’ve reached an agreement with Luton Town’s James Justin and it is only a matter of time before he is a Leicester player.
Once this deal is complete, Leicester are expected to turn their attention to AS Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans, who has been identified as the club’s main target.
