Leicester City are set to complete the signings of Ayoze Perez and Youri Tielemans, according to The Telegraph’s John Percy.

Perez is reportedly undergoing a medical at the club’s training ground and it is only a matter of time before he completes a £16 million move to Leicester.

It had been reported that the Foxes will be paying £30 million for the Spanish forward but that’s not the case. They’re only paying his release clause.

Meanwhile, Leicester are also close to making Youri Tielemans their most expensive signing – £40 million if we are being exact – with the talks nearing a conclusion.

Tielemans wants to join in time for the pre-season, and it looks like he will get his wish – as will the Leicester faithful who had been pretty frustrated with a lack of activity.

Look at Leicester now. They would possibly have made three signings by the end of next week, which is quite something.

And these are hugely impressive signings. James Justin is a highly-rated full-back who has a big future ahead of him, Perez is just the kind of player Leicester had needed to support Jamie Vardy, and Tielemans, well, he doesn’t require any introduction.

What is interesting to see now is whether Brendan Rodgers needs more players in. There are real question marks hanging over the future of Harry Maguire – who is being pursued by Manchester City and Manchester United – while Ben Chilwell is of interest to multiple clubs, too.

If they leave, Leicester have no option but to go big in the market again. If they do not, will they sign another player? They could do with a couple more.
