This is Leicester City’s impressive possible starting XI in 2019/20

This is potentially Leicester City’s starting line-up for 2018/19. it’s easily arguable that this is a Premier League top six XI.

Wow, things are really beginning to take shape on Filbert Way as Leicester City make some shrewd summer signings. In fact, the structure and staff at the club in addition to the existing squad make for a real push for the Premier League top six.

Since Brendan Rodgers’ arrival from Glasgow Celtic, there’s been an unmistakable positive atmosphere around the ground, and in general attitude towards the direction the team is going in.

This progress is set to continue, improve and constantly evolve. Thanks to the influence and vision of our great chairman, Top Srivaddhanaprabha, meshing perfectly with the Northern Irishman’s adroit footballing ways.

Leicester City have a top six XI

In all honesty, it is not now a dream to envision the Foxes as a big six premiership side any longer. Just check out the possible starting XI below for an indication of quality; that wonderful mix of youth, pace, proficiency and experience:

Before you say, ‘Tom, Youri Tielemans hasn’t signed and we’d be silly not to sell Maguire for £85 million or thereabouts!’, let me say I agree – I’m not crazy. But consider that Leicester keep ‘slabhead’ and do sign the Belgian: FoL would subsequently assess, hypothetically, that the East Midlanders can take a Champions League spot.

Are Leicester stronger without Maguire? No. Even with one of James Tarkowski, Lewis Dunk or Jamaal Lascelles in place of the Fox, City would not be as effective as we see it. That’s not to say we wouldn’t welcome one of those options as the eventual replacement.

Therefore, minus one of the latter’s incoming fee, around £50m could be banked from Maguire’s sale. Along with another top player arriving on Filbert Way.
