Leicester City have agreed a £45 million deal for Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back Lewis Dunk, according to the Sun.

While it is normally not advised for anyone to believe in what the Sun has to say, this report could have some truth to it.

There have been multiple outlets reporting that Leicester have accepted a £60 million+£20 million offer from Manchester United for Harry Maguire.

And if that is true, then there is a high chance that Dunk could be seen at the King Power Stadium very soon, too.

Whether the £45 million fee is reasonable is arguable, for he does not have the stature or the ability – not now anyway – worthy of that sort of a price.

But there is a long way to go before we discuss Dunk’s fee. It all depends on Maguire’s departure. Geoff Peters of talkSPORT has rubbished all the rumours about any deal, so it is still unclear as to what is actually happening.

However, he also stated that things could change very quickly if Maguire were to do a Riyad Mahrez and try to force a move. He does want to play for a bigger club – that much is certain and confirmed.

Will he go out of the way to achieve that, though? The deeper we go into the summer, the clearer it will be – perhaps uglier as well.

The England international has done well so far to not go down the Neymar track, but we’d be fooling ourselves to think there is not a possibility of that.
