Signing Youri Tielemans is essentially, Foxes of Leicester believe, the final piece of the jigsaw Brendan Rodgers needed in order to attain sixth place in the Premier League.

We are surely witnessing Leicester City’s most impressive transfer window ever – and there is still over three weeks remaining.

Signing the promising James Justin from Luton Town kicked off proceedings. Then came surprise package, yet important and underrated signing, Ayoze Perez from Newcastle United. Finally the news the faithful had been waiting for – as Youri Tielemans joined for a bargain £35 million from AS Monaco.

Brendan Rodgers is developing and modifying a quite spectacularly encouraging team at King Power. His wishes seem granted and aspirations certainly matched by the chairman, Top Srivaddhanaprabha.

This has led to the most optimism around Filbert Way and from Leicester fans on social media comparable only with the ‘Great Escape’ in 2014/15, along with the miraculous Premier League title triumph in 2015/16.

Before getting ahead of ourselves, their could be more business for the Foxes’ recruitment team, with Rodgers’ input of course. Not to mention the stripping of the East Midlands outfit’s dead wood; or more politely, peripheral roster.

It has been alleged, quite wildly and often in a contradictory sense, that star Fox Harry Maguire wants to leave, possibly informed his team-mates of that determination and told the club. Honestly, a real media mess encapsulates the transfer rumours, making the centre-back’s future placing being anyone’s guess at this point.

Additionally, there are strong assertions in national sports speculation that Leicester are not finished in the transfer market. Indeed there may be a marquee winger winging his way to Filbert Way. With a backup or development squad ready number eight style footballer possibly incoming too.

Foxes of Leicester determine Leicester City already have a top six side in relation to all  club factors: squad depth, staff and hierarchy. Those extra, bonus signings may even boost the side in order to battle for Premier League fifth or even fourth. We see Demarai Gray’s involvement and Harvey Barnes’ growth as key to sixth as well.

Manchester United haven’t strengthened enough to be in with a certain shout; neither have Arsenal. Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur should be the top three. While Chelsea will be hoping they’re strong enough for a top four position.

Tell us where you reckon the Foxes will place in the premiership in 2019/20?
