Leicester City squads for Stoke City, Rotherham United revealed
Leicester City play two simultaneous fixtures on Saturday at 3pm. Both matches feature first team players. Which squad members are in which side?
Leicester City are on a roll: three friendly wins from three attempts in the 2019/20 off-season. Additionally the aggregate score is steadily improving too.
Firstly the Foxes dispatched Scunthorpe United 1-0. Then came Cheltenham Town, who were beaten 2-1. After that were Cambridge United, who suffered a 3-0 demise.
Most notable is the incredible style switch that Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has bestowed on to his side; it is quite a drastic contrast to former manager Claude Puel’s attempt at a passing team. Rodgers now has the chance to give his entire roster a longer run-out to assess them more systematically before an inevitable loan cull.
Leicester City at Stoke and Rotherham
Before the final contest of pre-season versus Italian outfit Atalanta at King Power Stadium, there is a double-header against Stoke City and Rotherham United.

As you can see, the selection to play Stoke is packed with the majority of first team stars. Some will be wondering what this means for Demarai Gray and Harvey Barnes, well it’s simple: nothing negative, but another chance to, we assume, start as wingers and stake a claim in the eventual Premier League XI.
Obviously Caglar Soyuncu and Papy Mendy are also included in the team to play the Millers. The pair have both given decent displays in the friendlies they’ve respectively appeared in. Therefore this decision shouldn’t be viewed as a demotion – but as another attempt to prove worth. Presumably from a starting place at New York Stadium.
