Leicester City can beat anyone on their day, says left-back Ben Chilwell.

Brendan Rodgers’ side go to the Old Trafford next week to face a downbeat Manchester United, who have been nothing short of shambolic this season.

On the other hand, Leicester have been fantastic. There isn’t one player who you can say has done badly, therefore the confidence and belief are both at an all-time high.

Speaking ahead of England’s UEFA Euro Qualifying clash against Bulgaria, Chilwell, who should be in Gareth Southgate’s playing XI on Saturday, seemed to be very upbeat – and rightly so.

"“That’s the aim for everyone this season,” Chilwell told TalkSport, referring to a top six finish.“We’re definitely confident we can beat anyone on our day, especially with the quality going forward.”"

Chilwell is all of us. Leicester have been soaring this campaign and are not looking like they will be stopped too easily.

They have a really good chance of beating United but there are some more tough games up ahead as they play Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Liverpool.

All of them represent a different challenge and will test Leicester in different ways. Obviously, they will eventually be beaten and it will most probably be against Liverpool but it is the displays that the fans will be more concerned with.

Being beaten by a top side is one thing, being outclassed is another. It is the latter that Leicester have to look to avoid – at least.

When you’re aiming for a top six finish, there has to be a certain level of performance that must reflect even in a defeat so you do not end up losing points and belief.
