Manchester United are apparently readying a bid for Leicester City player James Maddison next summer. While his value has supposedly been revealed.

James Maddison took the Premier League by the scruff of the neck last season during his Leicester City debut campaign, through thrilling displays and thoroughly impressing statistically. Many believe he should already have made his senior England bow.

Certain observers think similarly aged or younger players like Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mason Mount got their caps earlier through maturity. Leicester’s No.10 occasionally showed immaturity last term: diving, looking for fouls and possibly being too bothered about his appearance etcetera.

Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate is a boss who doesn’t appreciate that type of behaviour. His demeanour is the opposite and their is certain style of athlete decorum that is expected in his squad.

Leicester City gem

However, Maddison is a supremely talented player who is good enough to be an international regular for 10 years plus. His time will come. All we advise is absolute focus, so to achieve potential and dreams. Those aspirations also involve ‘playing at the highest level’, of course.

A consequence of that type of statement is naturally a plethora of sports media speculation that players of that ilk will subsequently be transferred to the nearest top-six premiership club. Foxes fans can rest assured that they should have their prized playmaker for at least another season, as Times say Manchester United are readying a bid for next summer. Along with a purported price tag being placed on Maddison’s head:

"Manchester United will test Leicester City’s resolve to keep hold of James Maddison by launching a bid for the attacking midfielder next summer. The Times understands that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the United manager, is an admirer of Maddison and would like to bring him to Old Trafford next season.United did consider bidding for Maddison, 22, in the summer, but accepted that Leicester would not be willing to sell two of their biggest stars in one transfer window after allowing Harry Maguire to move to Old Trafford in an £80 million deal last month.Via: The Times"

Additionally, the paper also suggests that the East Midlands outfit do not want to sell their asset. Therefore it will take a huge amount from the Red Devils to temp the Foxes into accepting. Foxes of Leicester are not sure it’ll be as difficult to entice Madders himself.
