Leicester City will finish in the top four, says Jurgen Klopp
Leicester City will be in the Premier League top four at the end of the season, says Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp.
Leicester lived up to the hype when they visited Anfield on Saturday, playing just as well as we all expected them to based on the recent performances.
It took a last minute penalty from James Milner – whether it was a penalty or not is highly questionable – for the Reds to take all the three points as the Foxes almost ended their perfect start.
Despite the 2-1 defeat, Leicester are fourth in the table with 14 points, a point behind Arsenal and two behind a faltering Manchester City.
Like the Leicester faithful, Liverpool boss Klopp, too, believes that Brendan Rodgers’ side are going to get UEFA Champions League football next season and get to know what is it like to play twice in four days – after a wait of three long years.
"“I think Leicester at the end of the season will be in the top four and then they will realise how different it is when you play Wednesday, Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday,” Klopp said."
With Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United – God knows how did Leicester manage to lose to them – already done for the season, Leicester’s road to Europe is seemingly clear now.
However, that is not just down to the fact that the other teams are bad. Leicester have made their own way. They have beaten their opponents in the transfer market, they have been smart in terms of their scouting and are therefore reaping the rewards on the field now.
It will be a travesty if Leicester do not finish in the top four. They completely and entirely deserve European football next season.
