James Maddison could sign a new deal at Leicester City, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.

However, there are also reports from other sources who believe that the midfielder will certainly be a Manchester United player next summer.

While the higher-ups at Leicester want to have the 22-year old tied down, they do remain aware that the player will leave at some point of time, but they would not let it happen before Maddison puts pen to paper.

The Leicester star has been linked with the Red Devils and is understood to be one of their main targets next summer.

United are reportedly preparing a £60 million move for the 22-year old – they are also willing to shell out just as much for Ben Chilwell.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side sit 12th in the Premier League table, devoid of any vision, any direction, ambition or any course of action that they think best suits them.

Add to that, there is no hope of them getting better anytime soon. In fact, it will only get worse.

The question is: why should Maddison be wanting to go to Old Trafford? Apart from their wage bill and the egos in the dressing room, what is big about this so-called biggest club in the world anyway? Absolutely nothing is the answer.
