Martin Keown will be hiding behind the sofa when his former side Arsenal play Leicester City.

The Gunners lost 1-0 to Sheffield United earlier in the week, opening up a five-point gap between them and fourth-placed Chelsea as well as third-placed Leicester.

While 15 points from nine games does not represent an overly bad start to the season, some of Arsenal’s football has been truly woeful.

That it took two sumptuous free-kicks from Nicolas Pepe for Unai Emery’s side to beat Vitoria in the UEFA Europa League – at home – and that it was not a far cry from what we have seen all season, really says it all.

It is why Keown has no false hopes for when Arsenal visit the King Power Stadium.

"“They (Leicester City) play Arsenal in a couple of weeks and I’m going to be hiding behind the sofa when that happens because I really fear for Arsenal,” Keown said on Match of the Day."

Arsenal last beat the Foxes away back in 2015 – a 5-2 hammering for Claudio Ranieri’s soon-to-be champions. Since then, they’ve had a goalless draw, a 3-1 trouncing and another 3-0 battering.

If you’ve seen Arsenal defend and/or attack, you would think that they are not going to leave the East Midlands with anything this time either.

Leicester, in comparison, have little to mull over. They are defending well, attacking well and overall, a better team.

On paper, however, Arsenal have a lot of ammo, which Leicester know all about – they have conceded seven goals on their last two trips to the Emirates Stadium – which is to say, they do not have to be fearful, just that they need to be wary.

Leicester next face Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup round of 16.
