Burton Albion v Leicester City: Television coverage, streaming, details
The Carabao Cup returns on Tuesday evening, with Leicester City traveling to Burton Albion of League One. Here are details, including television coverage.
Off the pitch it’s been an emotional week or so for supporters of Leicester City. They were honouring, remembering and celebrating the life of the most important man to grace the club, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. The former chairman passed away in a helicopter accident one year ago.
On the pitch things couldn’t be much rosier or promising for the Foxes: third in the Premier League behind the duo of dominant powerhouses that run the top-flight at the moment – Manchester City and Liverpool.
Leicester City in the Carabao Cup
However, now Leicester divert their attention to the Carabao Cup with a Round of 16 visit to League One side Burton Albion. Albion sit thirteenth in their division currently. In previous rounds the Staffordshire side saw off: premiership team Bournemouth; Morecambe; as well as Port Vale.
Obviously Brendan Rodgers’ outfit will be more than confident of progressing to the Quarter-Finals. Yet as we have seen, underestimating any club in cup competition is often a disastrous approach.
According to efl.com:
"The Quarter-Final draw will take place this Thursday 31 October from approximately 8.45am, live on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 2."
Thankfully Leicester City have seemingly dropped the method of replacing most senior starters with reserves and youth players for such encounters. In recent campaigns we witnessed the East Midlanders crash out unnecessarily due to fielding weaker stating line-ups. A cup run, and eventually triumph, would be delightful for the club.

Although, UK fans can watch highlights of the Foxes in action on channel Quest on Wednesday night at 10:30pm GMT. Quest is available in HD with certain subscriptions. Sky Sports News will also show live goal updates as usual from Tuesday’s clash, which begins at 7:45pm. Watchers in the US can stream the game via ET, ESPN+.
