At last Ayoze Perez has scored his first Leicester goals, ending up with a hat-trick at Southampton. He gave a candid interview this week about his life with Leicester City.

Finally the time came in the Premier League at Southampton last Friday night, as Ayoze Perez’s long-awaited debut goal arrived. In fact the goals came like proverbial busses, a hat-trick on the evening as part of Leicester City’s drubbing of the Saints.

It hasn’t been easy for the Spaniard to slot into proceedings with the King Power club; he is slightly out-of-position on the wing. He usually provides more central striker support or played as a general forward. However, the system seems to be growing on Perez, he is talented enough to be versatile and adapt.

Following the match at St Mary’s, the 26-year-old gave a particularly candid interview about his contemporary situation, previous life and how the football is going for him.

Although, some Leicester residents may be disappointed to hear that the former-Newcastle United man prefers Newcastle to Leicester as a city and often departs altogether for the capital.

"“The city doesn’t have many things, Newcastle as a city was better, but here I have London within an hour and I escape a lot there.”You can read much, much more at LCFC Live"

You can’t really blame the attacker for being second-home sick. He was in the north of England for four years and scored 34 premiership goals for the Magpies. Originally, he is from the incredibly beautiful Canary Islands, María Jiménez to be exact.
