Jamie Vardy still winning awards, acclaim at Leicester
With age Jamie Vardy seems to be refining his game, as opposed to simply improving. The accolades, awards and praise he receives is abundant, as explained here.
This campaign, in infant stages it may be, is proving to be thrilling and equally productive for Leicester City. Brendan Rodgers is running the show as manager. His acumen is seemingly a perfect fit for the Foxes. Time will tell if that yields fruit – or cups and European tours – though the omens are favourable at present.
Rodgers appears to have a pragmatist’s approach to the game. Some onlookers thought he may embody a boss with a heavy ego when arriving on Filbert Way. Yet he is a man who puts the team before his pride or personal preferences as well as his profile.
One of the key players who have blossomed, so to speak, is 32-year-old Jamie Vardy. Even at his veteran age for a footballer, the former-England forward has thrived and may now be using his brain more adroitly. Obviously pace, energy and, for some, hunger fades. Not with Vardy: he is as viral and ravenous for goals, wins and progress as ever.

What a season for Leicester City striker
Currently the No.9 is at the pinnacle of the top-flight scoring chart, with ten finishes. With many world-class strikers as Premier League rivals, Vardy will do incredibly well to triumph as a first-time golden boot winner. His competition for the accolade includes: Manchester City attcker Sergio Aguero; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal; Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane; and Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.
In fact, the ex-Fleetwood Town man won the PFA premiership fans’ player of the month award. Lcfc.com said Vardy commanded an incredible 40 per cent of the supporter vote. Many pundits and experts have been equally impressed with the player’s age-defying performances. Former athlete Darren Bent believes the Fox is the best in the contemporary division.
