When Leicester City complete James Maddison’s prospective new contract, it is expected that Youri Tielemans will also sign a fresh deal.

At the beginning of the 2019/20 season Youri Tielemans wasn’t quite firing on all cylinders. Possibly due to the amazingly high bar he set for himself when joining on loan from AS Monaco in the previous campaign. Us Leicester City fans can party thank former boss Claude Puel’s links for the initial contact with the now iconic Belgian.

Tielemans has recaptured that incredible form from 2018/19 in recent matches: directly involving himself in four goals in as many games. Alongside James Maddison in midfield with the backing of interceptor Wilfred Ndidi – the trio is a force to be reckoned with. Most Premier League sides would take them; even when compared with Liverpool’s centre-three of Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho, the Foxes’ men are probably favourable.

New Leicester City contracts

Maddison is apparently set to sign a new deal at the King Power imminently. Thusly he will inadvertently reject Manchester United’s interest simultaneously. That is if you believe media reports.

At Foxes of Leicester we think Caglar Soyuncu has more than earned a new deal. Expect his £45,000-a-week salary to be closer to the highest earners on Filbert Way in the near future. He is an asset that certainly needs protecting.

Another very important cog in the Leicester wheel is the aforementioned Tielemans. According to 90min’s sources, the Belgium international will put ‘pen to paper’ soon. Despite only signing a permanently this summer:
