Second and third placed Leicester City and Manchester City clash in the Premier League on Saturday evening. There was some big news in the press conference.

We are nearing the halfway point of the season as game-week 18 approaches in the Premier League. Manchester City entertain Leicester City at Etihad Stadium this weekend. Unexpectedly, the Foxes are above the Citizens in the division.

With the same number of matches played, Leicester are currently four points ahead. Though leaders Liverpool are a massive 10 points in front of the East Midlanders.

A clash of the titans

According to the fictional script, Leicester were not supposed to be in between the two giants clubs vying for premiership glory. Brendan Rodgers’ team are over-performing quite drastically; although the well managed club has high ambitions of a return to the Champions League. While the Manchester team is certainly not as awe-inspiring an outfit as they once were.

One battle to look out for is Wilfred Ndidi versus Kevin De Bruyne – a contest that could quite easily shape the outcome. Then there is Leicester’s version of the Belgian: James Maddison. He will become an England regular eventually, and will attempt to be as influential as a De Bruyne for years to come domestically.

Unfortunately for the Foxes, the latter is seemingly entering a sublime level of form. De Bruyne absolutely dominated in the Arsenal win. Since defeating the Gunners 3-0 Pep Guardiola’s side also brushed aside Oxford United to book a place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup – along with Leicester.

Good for the Citizens, bad for Leicester City

There was some rather troubling news for the Blue Army during Guardiola’s pre-match press conference, with Sergio Aguero likely to be involved on Saturday. The Spaniard is always terse with reporters, though it is decipherable. Please read the quote below:
