Important for Leicester to keep things in perspective

12 games unbeaten in all competitions and suddenly, Leicester are winless in two games, having drawn against Norwich and being beaten all ends up by City. They next face Liverpool at the King Power Stadium. While there is nothing concrete to suggest they cannot beat the Reds, the most likely result is another defeat simply because Jurgen Klopp’s side are too good.

The Foxes could even slip to third on the Boxing Day but the fans and the players need to ensure that they keep things in perspective. Leicester, as has been said enough times, are already way ahead of where they planned to be, so a minor slump shouldn’t be treated like it’s the end of the world. It would be royal overreaction.

In fact, it should be look at as a learning curve and a reminder that Leicester have to continue working to take on the elite. That is the sort of attitude you normally expect from a Brendan Rodgers-led club, so Leicester should do just fine on that front.

The fans, though, can be a notorious bunch, so for them, perspective, as said before, is important. Two or three bad results do not a season make.
