Brentford vs. Leicester FA Cup: Predicted line-up
The FA Cup fourth round is upon us, Leicester City travel to Brentford to take on the bees. But what will Leicester City’s starting XI be?
Leicester City returned dramatically to winning ways in the Premier League on Wednesday, dismantling West Ham United 4-1. Ayoze Perez got a couple of goals, Harvey Barnes netted once along with getting an assist and Ricardo Pereira also supplied the same tally as the academy graduate. Kelechi Iheanacho brilliantly assisted twice from the substitutes bench, too.
It wasn’t just a win, the performance was emphatic and the renewed positive energy seemed palpable at King Power Stadium. In recent games certain sections of Foxes supporters have booed players and shown discontent after a couple of defeats. However, the blip in form is now hopefully history.
To his credit Brendan Rodgers stuck to a strategy and style, thusly it paid off. There was an incident last week which made his job more difficult. Hamza Choudhury and Ben Chilwell were fined by team-mates and dropped for one match following an unnamed discretion, which appears to be entirely missing an important training session.
Apparently the issue was handled internally by the squad. This is, some suggest, a routine procedure for football teams; although Rodgers added intrigue and ambiguity by not specifically stating the reason they were late or absent.
FA Cup
That matter is now over, according to the City boss, not to mention the excellent triumph against the Hammers helping the side to move forward. Now Leicester turn their attention to the FA Cup fourth round with a trip to Championship outfit Brentford on Saturday.
Rodgers is expected to make some changes but still field a competitive XI. After the link below, Foxes of Leicester predict that side:
Danny Ward; James Justin, Jonny Evans, Wes Morgan, Christian Fuchs; Choudhury, Papy Mendy – if fit – Dennis Praet, Demarai Gray, Marc Albrighton; Iheanacho. Youri Tielemans might retain his place as the Northern Irish manager believes his midfielder requires constant game-time.
